Yes the 770 is designed for trucks, you enter your truck info (weight, length and height) and it routes you with the the specs you provide! I have mine set with tractor and trailer with weight of 80,000 lbs and have had only one issue with it and that was with an exit ramp in Atlanta. It is a great GPS for truckers but as i have learned you really need to take a few minutes and go threw the route and double check with you atlas to save some heartache down the road.
