i want to make sure im understanding this right.. so if there is a traffic jam say because of a accident.. not construction.. this GPS will know this because it is updated to the minute and will help me to try to avoid this delay? is that correct? null

I didn't see any alternate routes shown in case of an accident.

Garmin traffic gives details about the situation, such as how many minutes of delay to expect and if there are any possible time-saving detours. It can even confirm whether or not you are on the fastest route. When in a coverage area the device will alert about slow traffic ahead, accident ahead, construction ahead, etc. The traffic information is refreshed every 5 minutes.
