I do not know why it asks if you want it installed. That threw me as well but I just went to the store to ask . It comes with everything you need including the cord to plug into your car. You can use the suction on the window or if you have the weighted holder it will sit in there on your dash. It has a nice clear screen and nice features. Hope this helps.
