• Yes, this model has the capability to announce turn by turn directions and view text in Italian. If these languages are not available on your device, you can download them using the Garmin Express program. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express/ Thanks, James

• I'm sorry I don't know the answer. I bought the gps for my granddaughter to take to college with her so I can't even look at the device. My Best Buy had a display model. You might be able to find out that way.
