“I just bought a Garmin 51LM- I’ve plugged it in but it won’t do anything. It just says Garmin....the, very unhelpful, sales associate mentioned a disk but said I didn’t need it until I wanted to update my maps what am I doing wrong?”

if it is plugged into computer it will only show garmin screen. if you want to use it you have to plug into wall
