“Comparing to the 2597... I'm looking at purchasing a Garmin today (in the next few hours) and was going to buy the 2597. Amazon is showing that the 2539 is a newer model. Can you tell me what the differences might be and which one is better?”

The nüvi 2597LMT includes Bluetooth technology as well as Voice Command and a 2.5 hour battery while the nüvi 2539LMT does not include these features and has a 2 hour battery. Thank you! ~QKO

I see that the screen is brighter, it has "Real Directions" that navigate more accurately and has other new features. It is worth the extra bucks especially now that it is has a reduced price for the first time.
