“Do you have to own a Garmin device to connect with the scale app?”

• The scale doesn't talk directly to my Garmin watch. It talked to the Garmin app on my smartphone during setup, and now it talks directly to my Garmin web account. My Garmin phone app collects the data from both my watch and my scale, but the watch and scale don't talk to each other at all.
