• Nena, You don't need any suction cups for this mount, as it sits on the dashboard, and stays in place with weights on it.

• I bought this item, used it and it worked great. sat on the dash, no sliding, verses the suction mount comes undone periodically while driving.

• Yes the unit slides into the mount and it has a lever to lock it in. You can purchase to cup with the ball to mount to the unit too.
