Excelent product I am Truck Driver I will recommend

This is the second one I have purchased. Somehow my first one fell out of the car in a parking lot and I didn't realize it until I was home. Had to get another one. Sits well on the dashboard so that you can see the maps well and don't have to take your eyes off the road when looking at the GPS. Stays put so you don't have to worry about it moving around.

Like other users, the mount that originally came with my Garmin GPS began loosing its suction with the glass of my windshield. After some research I bought this one, and I was impressed. It stays put on a curved dash, during turns and rapid acceleration. And it sits at eye level, so I don't have to glance up to see it.

Easy to mount your Garmin to this. Sits well on my curved dash and doesn't move. Makes it easy to shift the Garmin slightly for better visibility. I also like that I can remove it from site when leaving my car in a parking lot.

Used one of these in a rental car, and have never looked back. This is the way to go for GPS mounts. Yes, it costs more than the free one you get in your GPS box. Stop being cheap, you need this. It's easy to pull apart and take down off the dash for security purposes, easy to grab and use between vehicles, portable for travel, and it works as advertised, keeping the GPS from falling over using the weighted friction mat. It also makes it much easier to use a sunshade inside your car, which is near impossible without cutting into your sunshade if you have a windshield suction mount.

The friction mounted stand for Garmin is a vast improvement over the suction window mount, in ease as well as improved windshield visibility. It feels a bit like a bean bag yet the weight is targeted right over the friction pad in the center, whilst the friction material extends into the petal shapes beyond. I've had a few hard stops and it didn't budge. Cannot speak for a full fender bender or accident thankfully. Highly recommended use of twenty dollars if you use a suction cup mount for your GPS.

I purchased this gps mount not just to hold my GPS but to also hold my iphone. I got tired of the suction cup holder falling off. This mount is so stable and can conform to the shape of the dashboard. Better yet you can remove it from view by just picking it up and putting it away with ease. The only change I made was changing the end device holder with the vice grip type so I can either hold my phone or the gps.

I have been using suction cup for my gps for awhile and very frustrating because it keeps coming off the windshield. So I recently purchased this mount and got price match with Amazon price. It works very well. Stay very still on my dash. I have a race car so I try some hard maneuvers that could make anything in my car falls off. However, it stays very well.

I half expected to be returning this after a couple of days, but it works really well. Much handier than a windshield mount, and less visually intrusive. It allows me to move my GPS to other vehicles easily, and if I'm parking overnight, in a dubious area, I just tuck the whole unit down under the dashboard. I have used the friction mount in 3 different vehicles, and there has been no noticeable slippage. I recommend this mount over a windshield mount.

I never liked the suction cup window holder, and this friction mount is the perfect alternative. It was easy to assemble and my GPS easily snaps on and off when not in use. It does not slide around when placed on the dash and takes up very little space. There is no obstructed view when using this product and very easy to adjust the angle. Great value for money.

It is heavy enough to stay in place where you place it. I like the fact that it is portable. It also fits down inside the carrying case I have for my Garmin GPS unit. I did think it was a bit over-priced but still glad I bought it.

This mount is similar to a Garmin mount my son has which works pretty well but I like this one much better. It kind of reminds me of a heavy bean bag with the holding device attached. It was simple to set up and has not moved from where I placed it . . . but when I want to take it down and put it away for safety purposes, it will be easy to do. I love it!

I have used the suction cup style bases for years and never enjoyed cleaning my windows afterwards. Worse, my wife would lose them! This weighted base is safe for your dash and does a remarkable job of keeping the GPS in place even through evasive maneuvers. Great solution and great price, too!

I needed to free up my cup holder, so I wanted to try this type mount for my GPS. Works very well, certainly as good as it claimed to be. It has stayed in place, even with quick stops and a few needed quick accelerations. No movement at all. The easy dismount/mount lever also works great, and the holder rotates to most any angled position I wish, side to side, and up and down. Would purchase again!

First time using the non-suction cup method. I've been pleased with the weight and how it stays in-place while driving. Strong magnet lock connection is a snap (once the GPS was placed near the connector, the base literally pulled the unit out of my hand into place--much to my surprise). This cuts down on the wear-n-tear of using the mini-USB connection to charge. Instead, the USB pulls into the base and not the GPS unit directly.

Love, love this mount for my Garmin!!! It's heavy and it stays in place. I had gotten one for my husband's truck and used it for a trip to Florida. Awesome! When I replaced my Garmin I purchased one of these mounts for my 2005 Equinox. It just snaps into the back of the Garmin and you are set to go. Highly recommend.

I have tried many different devices to hold my GPS without having to stick it to my dashboard. I wanted to be able to remove it at will. My dash has a small glovebox on top that I wanted to access. This is perfect, it stays where you put it, it doesn't move from it's position even when moving at highway speed or going around corners. One of the best things I purchased in 2014!
