Better than the window stick on type
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works well. Doesn't fall off like window stick-on ones. Stays in place, fits well on my dash in left corner of the windshield. I bought two more for my grandchildren. Garmin fits well on it and easy to position the angle of Garmin. I tried another weighted clam-shell version of a holder and went back to this one. I don't leave my Garmin set up, and this mount is easy to remove and stores well in the glove compartment or center console. I highly recommend this gps mount.

provides safe mount for Garmin GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found that the suction mount for the window did not work well in my car. When the GPS fell from the window, I felt this was unsafe. This mount provides a safe mount that does not move. I feel much safer when I am using the Garmin with this device.

So easy to use!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old GPS had a suction cup that was forever detaching from whatever it was stuck to. I tried everything, even glue. Heat, cold, everything caused it to detach. I finally got frustrated trying to use it from the front passenger seat and purchased a new GPS with this mount. It works like a charm, keeps the GPS where I need it.

This is a great product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I got a new car and didn't want the ring on windshield that the suction cup mount always leaves. It was a pain having to clean that ring off every time I unmounted the holder. This is great. I leave my GPS mounted the dashboard base and simply put it on the car dash when I want to use use it.

Great for securing a GPS device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This item works great! We bought it to attach to our GPS and sit on the dash board. Our GPS never moved around. It stayed in place and we were able to tilt the GPS for a better view. It was easy to remove each night and put our GPS away out of sight. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who owns a GPS.

So easy to use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No suction needed! Yeah! My last GPS mount kept falling off the windshield. You don't have to worry about that happening with this mount. I can just pull it out the glove compartment, plop it on the dash and it's ready to use. Love it!

Great mount
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hold the GPS device firmly in place even when have to slam the brakes in traffic! Plus, makes it super easy to move the device between vehicles. No more "ring on the windshield" telling everyone you have an extra electronic device in the car!

even better that the one the gps came with!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since we lost the window suction mounting piece we stopped in to get another. We saw this one and thought it woul be better as there was no suction cup part to fail or accidentally leave in the car. We loved this one. easier to set conveniently on the dash.

Handy GPS Vehicle Mount
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this GPS vehicle mount for my husband's birthday. He enjoys it because can be moved from car to car. Also, it will not cause the GPS to fall off while driving. Wished that I got this for him sooner, but didn't know it existed.

Great holder for GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My GPS kept falling off of the window due to the suction cup not sticking. Having it sit on the dashboard is a great alternative. It is also weighted so that it doesn't slip. It is so much easier and convenient to use.

Stable Base for Garmin GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have an older ('02) MB, so external GPS essential. excellent product, holds gps perfectly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fits nicely on the dash. Never had a problem with it sliding. Sometimes it looks as though its going to slide but it just stays put. It can easily be transported to another vehicle. Leaves no residue on dash.

Great accessory for a Garmin GPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great whether you leave your GPS up all the time or want to put it away between uses. Stays put where you place it unless you hit very large bumps and is easily moved for passengers to input information.

Good vehicle mount
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second bean-bag type Garmin dashboard mount - to provide secure positioning for two Garmin GPS units. They are heavy enough to be sure the GPS will stay put, and flexible enough to allow creative placement. Since my cars have a tach that I never use on the instrument panel, I usually place the mount and GPS on the little recess in front of the tach. That way it doesn't block the view out the windshield, and is quick to see along with the other info on the instrument panel.

Much Better Than the Suction Cup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mount does exactly what they claim. Yes, I would recommend this device to anyone who purchases a heavier GPS. It's either buy this thing, or a new GPS. On the plus side, it is a decent mount that has enough weight in the base to hold the nuviCam GPS. You must remove the bracket from the suction cup and install it on the dashboard mount, which is simple enough. The directions tell you how to change it out. The footprint is a bit wider than my nuviCAM GPS. It has yet to tip over on me, despite the terrible roads around the NYC tri-state area. On the down side, the base is oddly shaped for reasons that I do not yet understand. As a result, placing it on your dashboard means that the GPS will always be at somewhat of an odd angle relative to the base. This quirk seems to be intentional, so I assume that it adds something to stability. It just looks a bit sloppy, that's all. My only other critique is that my vehicle has a slight depression in the dash for holding stuff in one place, which is where I put this mount. The "bean bag" base shapes itself to fit the space fairly well, but the GPS may shake at times. I I have hit a number of road bumps that cause the GPS to record an "event", or accident. The suction cup mount was less prone to false events than this mount. Because it can bounce around, your camera alignment can become misaligned rather easily, which causes numerous false lane drift warnings. Other than that, this device solves the problem of the rubber disk on the bottom of the suction cup being too small, which is what causes it too lose its' grip in the first place. If you do not have the rubber disk perfectly aligned with the plastic base, then a slow air leak forms where the edges slightly overlap, and eventually it loses all vacuum.

Perfect answer for my truck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Garmin that is several years old; I had lost the mount and was trying to find somewhere to put it in my truck. I read several lousy reviews for the vent mounts, and really didn't want to overheat or cool the Garmin attached to one of the vents. I decided to take a chance on this, figuring it would be better than just laying it on the console and having to look down to read the map. This mount is perfect sitting on my dash where it is my line of sight without blocking the window view. Its like a little bean bag with non-slip surface on the bottom. It never moves, and the angle is adjustable to provide the best view of the screen. Perfect!

Excellent unit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can be said. Very well made. This is the 3 rd one purchased Units do not break, easy to use and stay put. This is a gps holder if you need to move the unit on-off the dash.

Much better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit skeptical when the consultant suggested this. I tried the windshield mount that came with my Garmin Nuvi, but it was a long reach because of the car design. This put my Garmin where I could see it, and reach it easily when needed. Additionally, it satisfies the traffic laws that prohibit windshield mounts (MN and other states). It stays put, even during acceleration, braking and turns.
