What is the clip need & why does it not come included ? null

Can't speak for all GARMINs but my GPS came with a clip on mount and the standard glass suction cup with ball socket. I dislike the suction cup mounts but the clip on mount that came with the GPS works fine with the dashboard mount I purchased.

You can glance at the Garmin while driving. The unit comes with a device to place on windshield, but I like ti better on the dash.
