Yes it is measured by the wrist. I have noticed my battery and the wife's battery last about 6 or so days. The watch charges quickly. 30 to 45 minutes.

Heartrate is measured inside band. You have to have band adjusted properly or you get intermittent heart rate results. Mine lasts 4-5 days between charges.

It takes about 4 days till my battery gives me a warning to charge it. The HR is at the wrist sits at the top part of the wrist. Wears very easy and don't even know you have it on.
