• Yes this supplies continuous heart rate and if you download the app it lets you see overall HR/stress/activity levels on a day, weekly, or monthly basis charted out. I don't know if HR can be set as a default but with two or three swipes you can easily see it.

• The vivosport will track your Heart Rate all day and this information can viewed in the Connect Website and Application. However the Heart Rate Screen can not be set as the default display. Antonio with Garmin
