I love the size of the vivosport. It's not bulky, it's waterproof, and seems to be accurate. The only problem I've had is with keeping the Bluetooth connection. Otherwise it's perfect for me.

I was a little concerned when I bought this about the size of the screen, characters and the touch screen. I’ve had this for about a month now and love it! It never comes off. I wanted something small that tracks activities and heart rate. And although it does have text notifications I do not use it. I want to stay focused on my work outs and respond later. How often do we not have our phones on us anyway?
The touch screen is awesome. Well designed. Once you learn how to navigate through it. You’ll agree garmin did a nice job with this. So user friendly. The stats it tracks are awesome with the garmin connect app. I use this for walking, hiking, biking, kayaking and strength training. Most of the time it tracks my reps accurately. When it doesn’t I just edit the routine so it stores it accurately in the app. Which is very easy to do. It’s a must buy if you want something that is not so bulky and battery life is awesome. I charge this twice a week most of the time.

I use this along side my Garmin 935 for general wear and sleeping. I use the 935 for all of my outside training and for training where I need a perfect HR. This band works great in that capacity. HR is decent (not perfect but decent) and the GPS works well. Very sleek and comfortable.

I like the GPS on this tracker. From what I've been able to tell so far, it's counting my steps accurately. Fits comfortably on my wrist.

Durability better than Fitbit, but some drawbacks

I bought this because I got fed up with the absolute lack of durability of Fitbits - I went through 5 Fitbits (Charge HR and Charge 2) in 3 years due to software issues, band issues, and most recently a cracked screen (check the Fitbit community, cracked screen complaints are rampant).
Pros:
Seems more durable than Fitbit
Has some cool additional features compared to Fitbit
The phone interface/app is much cooler and easier to use
Syncs faster with app
Band is more comfortable
Better charging setup - the Fitbit charger was easy to put on in a way that you THINK it's charging, but it's not. This one is easy and efficient.
Battery level indicator on the display. This is AWESOME. With the Fitbit, I had to guess or sync it with my phone, which took too long.
Color screen is cool
Cons
Although the touch screen is cool, it's too easy to activate something with pressure from sleeve, etc.
I haven't yet found a setting where I can tell it what alerts I want it to receive and notify me, so it notifies me of everything. And that seems to compromise battery life.
It seems better than the Fitbit at recognizing activity on my indoor rower, but it's still not great
Although the band is more comfortable, I'm concerned that it might be less durable. But time will tell.
It's a bit more "tough love" than the Fitbit. You might be able to change this, but instead of the softer "let's go for a walk" or "feed me steps" that Fitbit does, this one just says "Move!"

I bought this Garmin to replace a Garmin Vivoactive that I had for a while. I initially looked at the Apple Watch, and Fitbit before settling on the Garmin Vivosport.
Pros
Built in GPS. Makes moving around without a phone Very convenient.
Battery life so far appears to be pretty good. Have been using it for 2 days now, and it is still at around 65% left. I think 5 days will probably be the average life.
Small and light. It is not bulky and does not take over your wrist.
Heart Rate Monitor. Built in HR monitor is a nice to have feature that no longer requires you to be tethered to a chest strap.
Cons:
The screen is a bit smaller than I would have liked, but it is still legible.
The strap appears to be a bit flimsy. I had to replace my previous Garmin strap two times due to usage. I am not certain on how long this will last but I hope it lasts a while as I dont see a way to change this strap easily if it breaks (Note Garmin might replace it but not sure).
The walk alert is a bit weaker than it was on my previous Garmin, but this might be ok, just need to be aware of it.
Overall I would recommend this watch for the price point that I got it at ($150 on Sale). For its functions and for its capabilities I am pretty satisfied with it so far.

I bought this after my 3rd Fitbit gave me problems. I was looking for something that would hopefully hold up better. After learning the app and how the watch works, I actually like it better than the Fitbit. It gives me more information and I think it’s a bit more accurate. With my Fitbit I could mow my lawn and in the 20 minutes it took me to mow, I could have all my steps in for the day. It was pretty sensitive to the vibrations of the mower. My Garmin doesn’t do that. And I also think the sleep tracking and heart rate settings are better as well. So far, in the 3 weeks I’ve had the Garmin, I like it so, so much better! The only thing I wish is that the battery would last a little longer before it has to be charged.

After purchasing the Garmin Vivosmart fitness tracker for my husband, I realized what a bargain it was compared to other fitness bands. It has the heart rate monitor, step, swim, and eight hour GPS ability. Great price for the product.

I'm very happy with my the vivosport activity tracker.
There are 2 minor imperfections in my opinion. 1. The screen orientation keeps resetting to portrait! 2. Starting/Ending a workout gets some getting used to (since the tracker has no buttons). Other than that, I like the fact that it's small, has GPS function, and has a heart rate tracker!

I really like this activity tracker and the Garmin app. It seems to accurately track my heart rate and activities, whether cardio, trx, Pilates or social dance. Only complaint is that on some (rare) occasions auto track fails to timely start. Really like the sleep and stress features. Notifications for calls and texts is also convenient without being obnoxious. Getting a solid (almost to the hour) 7 days per charge.

I've tried other trackers but I find that I need a web option to get the best information from the software. The Garmin software is very good and you're not limited to tracking it on only one phone - I like the flexibility of checking on my tablet or pc too. It's very comfortable, seems fairly accurate. I think the stress monitor is a key differentiator. It really helps remind me to slow down and add some R&R to my days. It does get phone texts but the screen is a bit small to really see much. It's fine though since that's what makes it comfortable to wear.

Overall its great but there’s a few things I would change. I wish the band was interchangeable. The current color choices are drab and when you pick one you’re stuck with it. So I went with black. But regardless of color, the watch can sometimes be uncomfortable. So different materials would be a nice touch. When using the activity mode indoors, like on a treadmill for example, the watch automatically pauses for some reason which is very annoyinng. I wish more of the “insights” were developed further too. And I’m not entirely sure how accurate the stress metering is. However, the heart rate is accurate. And the GPS functions are very nice. It’s easy to use with your phone as well. The watch is definitely waterproof; we went kayaking and the watch worked perfectly (still does). The digital interfaces are nicely done as well.

If you are serious about getting in shape and want to track multiple task with ease: this is a real nice lil gadget. It has real nice accuracy with a lot of exercise options. It has a real nice feel on your arm, not to bulky. And the price was not to bad...
