A fan where the internal components are located will run continuously while the microwave is in operation to constantly circulate the air to cool the working parts. It's normal for the internal fan for the electronics to continue to run for a few seconds after the microwave cycle is complete, even if the door is opened. No. If you just got it, just call Best Buy so you can see what they suggest. I called because mine was doing the same thing and the next day they delivered a new one and picked up the fan noise one. Cheers to Best Buy.
