A:AnswerThey are all the same size, only problem is the wall mount plate for each new microwave is different from the old ones. Why they decided to change the wall plate is bizarre

Good question! We appreciate your interest in GE Appliances. We'd be happy to help you with the dimensions and features of this microwave oven. The model you are considering (JVM3160RFSS) is the same model you currently own, therefore it would fit perfectly as a replacement. A:AnswerHi, thanks for reaching out to us and for considering this over-the-range microwave for your home! We truly appreciate your patience and are happy to answer these questions for you. This microwave is designed with a 13.5" glass turntable that can be easily removed for cleaning. We recommend leaving the turntable on for best cooking results, this model has Turntable On/Off control that allows it to be turned off for large dishes. It is not equipped with any shelf, glass tray, metal tray, or wire rack that may be found in an Advantium oven to use with different cooking modes. The electronic touch control pads are integrated into the control panel and are not raised. We sincerely hope that this information is helpful for you. Keep in touch! -Eliza@GEA
A:AnswerHA HA HA good luck. I was hoping for the same thing and they changed EVERYTHING by maybe 1/4 -1/2 inch. New holes will most likely be needed for everything. Sorry :/

A:AnswerWe just replaced a similar GE microwave too. Ours was from 2015, maybe 2014. The vent fan was in the exact same place and yes you are able to change the vent to go UP or BACK.
A:AnswerHello Kelly,
Thank you for reaching out. We'll be happy to help you find a replacement model. All our over-the-range microwaves are designed to fit into a 30" cabinet opening. This makes choosing a replacement a breeze. Please note however, that you will need to use the mounting kit that comes with the model. This is because the kit is made specifically for that model. A:AnswerHello Sherry! Thanks for your question. This model is comparable in size and some attributes, but does not have recirculation venting like your current model. If you would like a model with recirculating venting, we recommend looking into model number JNM7196SKSS. This unit can be found online at this link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-1-9-cu-ft-over-the-range-microwave-stainless-steel/5291501.p?skuId=5291501

A:AnswerHello Dan,
Thank you so much for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. Over-the-range microwaves are not intended/or designed to be used as countertop microwaves. Improper use and installation of appliances will void the warranty. We do have countertop microwaves that can also be built in, but they do not fit the same cutout as an over-the-range microwave. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us via social media or through our Contact Us page. We hope this helps. Best wishes. Mike@GEA
