“our current microwave is a Spacemaker XL. about 14 inches deep. all new models are deeper. this model 15 inch. Video says 30 inches min. from stove top, but we only have about 16 now. is there a problem, assuming we have sufficient space for pots, etc.”

Hi there Urs, Thanks for reaching out. We'll be happy to help. According to the installation instructions, cabinet depth should be at max 13". a 15" cabinet depth requires additional steps and an additional kit (JX15BUMPWW/BB). The distance from the top of the stovetop to the bottom edge of the cabinet needs to be 30" minimum. If not, then this will cause issues due to the heat of the cooktop.
