  • QuestionI have moisture in between the glass on the door of my microwave is this dangerous?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello, it is normal to see some condensation between the door panels, unless the condensation does not dissipate within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, moisture or steam on the cavity walls during microwave cooking is normal. All these characteristics are not dangerous. • QuestionWhat is the code in North Carolina for the minimum clearance between the Microwave over the smooth top stove? My current microwave is 17" over the smooth top stove.

    Asked by Michael5805.

    • Answer Hi Michael5805 - Per the Installation Guide, over- the- range models must be installed 66" from the floor to the bottom of the cabinet that the microwave attaches to. This can also be measured as 30" from the cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet it attaches to. We suggest to view page 7 of the Installation Guide at the following link- MOUNTING SPACE: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40765.pdf - Observe all governing codes and ordinances: http://www.ncdoi.com/OSFM/Engineering_and_Codes/Default.aspx?field1=State_Building_Codes_USER&user=State_Building_Codes - Thanks for choosing GE!
