• A:Answer Hi Jim1954- Thank you for making GE Appliances a part of your home! We know you have choices and appreciate the trust you've placed in us. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. The comparable models are GE® 1.7 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM6175DKWW and GE® 1.9 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven JVM7195DKWW. Model JVM7195DKWW has a dark gray, easy-clean porcelain enamel interior with Steam Clean option. The Steam Clean feature (found on select microwave models) generates steam to re-hydrate dried spills/splatters making cleaning easier. To use, simply press the Steam Clean button, put steam bowl with 1/4 cup of water, press the dial or Start/Pause to start. • A:Answer My previous GE Microwave had a mounting bracket as you described it which was rectangular with dimensions approximately the width and length of the microwave. This new model has, instead, a mounting plate (see photo) which the back bottom edge of the microwave fits into. It's 30" long and 1 3/4" wide.

• A:Answer I scheduled a call with GE paying $109 just to have the service person take a look. And get this, he said it will cost $531 for the repair! It costs more than the new product. Lesson: Dont buy GE and definitely dont schedule a service call with them!

• A:Answer Hello- Thanks so much for your question. We aren't exactly sure what you are asking in regards to the refrigerator being on the left side of the opening. However, this Over-the-Range microwave is Slate and will fit in a 30" width space. There shouldn't be any issues with the microwave door being open 90 degrees because your refrigerator shouldn't be right next to the microwave. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" over-the-range model. All our over-the-range microwaves are designed to fit into a 30" cabinet opening. This makes choosing a replacement a breeze. Please note however, that you will need to use the mounting kit that comes with the model. This is because the kit is made specifically for that model. All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our 30" over-the-range models will work as a replacement for your existing 30" over-the-range model PVM1870SMS. However, when replacing an over-the-range microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. Q: QuestionOrder from BestBuy and paid installed 01/2017. It's dead/no power 7/25/2018. Rarely used, the plastic is still on on touch panel. Will cost $300 to fix it. Never buy GE appliance again.
