Q: QuestionI am replacing a smaller microwave. I have custom cabinets. The width is 29-7/8". I noticed that the reported width is 27.75". Will it work? What is the absolute minimum width?

Over-the-Range Microwave with Sensor Cooking Model JVM7195SKSS (Dimensions: 16 5/16 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 9/16 D) is a great choice when replacing PVM1870SMSS (Dimensions: 16 7/8 H x 29 7/8 W x 15 1/4 D). All 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Q: QuestionI just ordered this microwave. I believe it comes with a mounting bracket. Does it also include all the hardware needed to hang it? Any nuts, bolts, or screws. Do I need anything else for the installation that is not included in the box?

• A:Answer All the hardware including mounting bracket, nuts, bolts, screws are included. You might need some tools like drill or screwdriver stuff to hang the mounting bracket on the wall.

This model has a four-speed, 400-CFM venting fan system to quickly remove smoke, steam and odors from the cooktop to keep kitchen air fresh and clean. Press Vent Fan once for boost fan speed, twice for high fan speed, a third time for low fan speed or a forth time to turn the fan off. • A:Answer Hello JR. Over-the-range microwaves require a minimum 66" mounting height from the floor to the top on the microwave. The 66" minimum from the floor dimension will allow approximately 14"-16" between the cooktop and the bottom front of the microwave. The cardboard cover on the right top or side wall of the microwave interior is there by design. The cardboard (mica) covers the waveguide system that feeds microwave energy into the cavity and should not be removed. The microwave should not be used for any function if this cardboard cover is not in place. If removed, it would require service to replace. Follow the instructions in the owner's manual for cleaning the interior of the oven. The same instructions apply to the cover. • A:Answer Yes! more to the point though is that it an updated model that appears to have a slightly smaller power rating. maybe 100 watts or so. Everything else is excellent. The fan speed now has 4 levels of power versus 3 previously. The locations of the push button contacts to begin microwaving are somewhat modified but that does not in anyway affect the functionality. The size was extremely important to us and it was an identical match. Bottom line the price was lower than what we had paid 8 years ago and it’s a perfect match. I don’t think that you will go wrong purchasing this item - and the Best Buy sales personnel were very helpful as were the delivery gentlemen. Good luck on your purchase.

Q: QuestionWe moved into our house 1 year ago and now need to replace the microwave - not sure how old it is. But we are in need of replacing an OTR white microwave JVM3660WD GE Profile Spacemaker. I'm not sure which GE model would be best to replace this.

We no longer offer a 36" microwave, however, most of our 30" microwaves have optional side panel kits. The good news is that all 30" over-the-range microwaves are approximately the same width, and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Each microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and installation instructions needed to make installation a simple process. This makes choosing a replacement microwave easy. This JVM7195DKWW with the optional side panel kit #JX36DWW would be a wonderful replacement model. We hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
