“Hi I have the GE Microwave but recently purchased a 15 inch cabinet. I bought the 3 inch extension but am concerned it may be to far out over the gas stove. Is there a recommend requirements. Thanks”

Hello JR. Over-the-range microwaves require a minimum 66" mounting height from the floor to the top on the microwave. The 66" minimum from the floor dimension will allow approximately 14"-16" between the cooktop and the bottom front of the microwave.
