Does the door stay open while accessing food? null

Yes, and there is a LED light in the lid that illuminates the contents when open. This is one of my favorite features of the freezer.

The door is hinged. As sich it stays open while accessing the frozen items

Yes as long as you open it over halfway. It will stay open by itself.
