“Does the washer tub have stabilizer straps installed on it like the larger washer units? If not can they be installed to help with out of balance loads that seem to make a lot of noise during the spin cycle.”

Hi Robert - Yes, all GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch. During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal. Also, the balance ring is an enclosed plastic container that is partially filled with a salt water solution. The two halves of the balance ring are welded together to form a permanent seal. It is attached to the inner clothes basket and allows the basket to spin smoothly if an uneven load creates an out-of-balance situation. Thanks for your interest in GE.
