When my GAS dryer did this, I hired a vent cleaning crew for $125. You think cleaning the lint screen is sufficient. It is not. The cleaners released thousands of pink balls of lint all over Santa Clarita that day. The lint was NOT in my vent hose. It was in the section that travels thru walls out of the building.

Some of the reasons that could be causing your clothes to take longer to dry is that the lint filter is full, improper or obstructed ducting just to name a few. There are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve this issue on pg 22 of the owner’s manual, that can be found on the GE appliances website under the “Owner Support” sections. If issue persists, please contact GE Appliances Services at 1-800-432-2737. – Don@GEA
