Hello TWR - Thank you for your interest in this amazing washer. We do not measure the capacity in weight for our units. A washer is not limited in practical terms by the pounds or weight of clothes it can wash. It is limited by the volume of clothes that can be put in the machine. So in this case, 2.4 cu ft of clothes can be washed. Keep in touch! - JB
