Hello Fluffy - Thank you for reaching out about this excellent air conditioner. We do not have an adapter kit for the installation panels. There are other air conditioner models that can fit a 42 inch window. If this is not an option for you, we recommend visiting a local hardware store for suggestions. Keep in touch! - JB
