Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, and thanks for reaching out to us, though we're very sorry to hear you're having an issue with your window air conditioner leaking rust colored liquid. That is not the experience we want to provide, especially with such a new unit. You may want to check that the air conditioner is correctly tilted slightly back towards the outside, so the condensation drains outside as it’s meant to. Also, if water is building up in the drain pan, you may want to try removing the drain plug to remove the build-up. Please note you would need to put the drain plug back in place afterward to ensure normal functioning. This draining option is covered on page 15 of your use and care manual, if you need any further details. If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, you may want to consider calling our service department. They are available at 1-800-432-2737. As you are well within your warranty period (the manufacturer’s limited warranty lasts for the first year), you should be able to easily arrange for the unit to be serviced. We hope this information assists, and you’re able to resolve this issue with the liquid soon. We are happy to help if you need any further help and are also available over social media. All the best! -Sarah@GEA
