A:AnswerHello. Thanks for reaching out! You can use foam panels, weather-stripping, or something similar to fill the gaps to the sides of the air conditioner. We hope this helps, and should you have any additional questions, please reach out to us!- Kianna@GEA
A:AnswerCheck the "trouble shooting" section in the back of the manual. I don't know why you are having this issue. Is it plugged into the wall? It's not supposed to be plugged into an extension cord. But if you're like me, the cord is too short to reach an outlet. I used a "heavy duty" extension cord that also has a 3-prong plug. Did you try pressing the re-set button at the end of the cord? Try these things, if none of them work take it back!

A:AnswerHi Tyler - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear of the "rattling" sound and apologize for any concern this has caused. You may want to remove and reinstall the filter. Inspect the louvers to confirm they are not broken. With window units, improper installation can cause vibration in the window sill. Check the Installation Instructions for proper installation guidelines: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-5000461.pdf - If you hear a ticking or pinging noise, this may be from the slinger ring normal operation. All room air conditioners have a "slinger ring" around the rear fan blade. The ring is designed to pick water up off the bottom of the pan and throw it against the condenser coils. This design feature helps improve the efficiency of the unit by reducing heat on the coils, and helps remove moisture from the pan. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask, we are also happy to help at GEAppliances.com! Sue
