I confirmed my own fitment comparability by comparing specs and measurements of old and new models by visiting www.geappliances.com. This site has manuals to download and other resources. My measurements were not precisely like-for-like but the installers assured me that my new 27” width oven-microwave combo WOULD FIT in the same space of my 30 years old model. “GE always fits like for like.” He was spot on. New model went in without any issues or cabinet modifications.
