Hey Ready, thanks for reaching out to us. The reason a power cord isn't included is because this dryer is compatible with different power cords depending on the number of prongs and length. The following model numbers are for compatible power cords: WX9X2, WX9X3, WX9X4, WX9X18, WX9X19 and WX9X20. You can see these power cords and their details listed on page 13 of the owner's manual.
