“on the gft14essmww. and corresponding washer, we have a limited depth space. i see this is 26" deep but what is the width/depth of the hoses and cords? Is it more than 1"?”

According to the Installation Instructions, we recommend a minimum of 1" clearance in the rear and 3" of clearance to any combustible surface. -Vikki@GEAppliances
