you're not doing anything wrong, its the machine and the engineers that created it just wasting time getting paid to make inferior products when they are supposed to be getting better. I have one and does the same thing. Complete waste of money

Newer models are designed to meet energy and water efficiency standards set by the DOE (Department of Energy), so you may not see a full wash basket like older machines, but the washer is performing as designed. Instead, load-sensing technology adjusts the water level based on the cycle selected and the load size. The "Deep Fill" option can be selected if you'd like to add more water to the tub, however, you still may not see the wash basket full to the top.
