“I recently purchased this model and find that the casual wash cycle is Spinning my clothes dry (and sounds like a jet engine) and they are becoming rags. Which cycle besides delicates has a lower motor spin? Our once quiet home now sounds like the airport”

Same thing happens with mine. That's why I only use Delicates and Short Wash cycles, they seem to have lower and shorter motor spin.

Your new washer may sound different from your prior unit because of the newer technology. Clicks, flowing water, gear sounds followed by pauses, and electric hum sounds are all part of the normal wash cycle.
