Maybe, you are trying to open the lid too soon. I put my clothes in start the washer wait a few seconds for the water flow to kick in then I open the lid. If you open it too soon the water flow will stop or it may not even start.

Read the direction booklet as this washer operates quite differently than others we have had especially when on auto precise fill The lid locks in the first step for precise fill right after the start button is pressed. It “thinks” about the settings before it starts, so do be patient with it through the “thinking process.” We have had this washer now for about three weeks, wonderful washer.
