I am having the same issue. I was wondering if it is supposed to do that?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, We're awfully sorry to hear that the agitator is coming off when doing laundry and can understand your frustration. Top-load washer agitators on models manufactured in late 2015 and after (ex. GTW460 or GTW485), are two components: the agitator auger (with the spiral fins) and the agitator base. The agitator could come off the base if not seated properly. It can easily be snapped back in place: Line up the grooves in the agitator auger with the agitator base. Turn counter-clockwise until it locks into place. If the washer has a fabric softener cup at the top of the agitator that has come off: Line up the grooves on the edges of the cup with the grooves at the top of the agitator. Push down on the cup firmly to snap into place. Thanks for reaching out! Mike@GEA
