QuestionIs there easy access to the filter, pump, etc. through the front panel of this washing unit. In other words, will i have to pull out the whole unit in order to remove the front panel?

However, the Washer Link feature on the GFD85 dryer can work with the GFW510, GFW550 and GFW650 washers as well. QuestionThe dimensions from wall to door frame is 34”. The dryer does next to the door. The machines say 32” deep , can we use this front load set. I’ve heard different opinions from sales people A family member recommended it

- Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in a new GE Appliances washer and dryer. While these units are only 32" deep, additional space may be required in the back to accommodate the water line connections, drain hose connection and the venting requirements for the dryer. We recommend reviewing the installation instructions for each model and then look at how you would make the connections for each of these as we do not have details on the configuration of your specific installation needs. QuestionThe depth is listed as 32 inches. Does this include the hoses at the back or is additional space required for these?

- Answer Hi - Thank you for your interest in this great GE Appliances front-load washer. The 32" depth dimension applies to the washer itself. To enable 0” clearance on the back of the washer, you must use 90° elbow hoses. Otherwise you may require some additional clearance to avoid rubbing of the hoses against the back wall. QuestionWhy do I have a very small amount of water pool left in the washer drum of a 4.8 Cu ft front load GE washer model GFW550SSN2WW, after the cycle is complete and clothes have been removed.

- Answer That's usually caused by overloading the washer with clothes, thus considered a "heavy" or "bulky" load. Make sure it's properly set to the amount, or heaviness of your laundry load first before starting the washer.

This model has five wash/rinse temperature options – you can choose between Tap Cold, Cold, Warm, Hot or Extra Hot on most cycles. However, certain wash cycles won’t have all the temperature options available, to protect fabrics. We hope this clarifies the matter. - Answer Hi! Thanks for asking. When installing your unit on a pedestal, you would need to make sure that the washer/dryer is properly affixed to the top of the pedestal. If it's not, then you will experience more aggressive vibration issues. If there is an out of balance issue with the washer then walking could occur. QuestionMy laundry space width is 68" with a depth of 35.5", so the washer and dryer can fit in the space. However, the entrance to this space width is 53". Will I be able to open the doors to the washer/dryer machine?

From the dimensions that you provided it looks like it will be tight and you may not be able to open the doors if they are side by side. You may want to consider stacking your washer and dryer. Doing this will allow extra room in your laundry space for more organization. It would be a good idea to take a photo of the area and the space and then view the dimensions of the washer and dryer.
