- Answer No. This unit has the ultra fresh vent. With the door closed, you can push the ultra fresh button to run the cycle. It essentially draws in fresh air, spins the tub, and dries itself out. Doesn’t use too much power and takes 6 hours to complete the cycle.

QuestionLove the washer and dryer but there is a gassy smell when I use it. Maybe the hoses are not connected correctly or something. Anybody else’s have this weird smell? It comes and goes?!

- Answer I had GE service out here once for an odd smell. Smelled like a weird chemical or something… they said it was drywall dust from renovations we had going on. It was getting into our dryer and burning. It’s definitely one of their more common calls. But if it smells like natural gas then you could have a leak and should call a plumber. My smell didn’t smell like natural gas, it smelled more like a strong chemical or burning plastics type smell.

QuestionI currently have side by side washer dryer . If I go with the stackables do I need to reroute dryer vent so that it's behind the stacked dryer? Will existing power sources/outlets work? Do I only need one pedestal on the base or do I need another between?

- Answer If you need to buy a new one, scan the QR code on the inside lip of your dryer door. It will take you to the GE parts catalog for your dryer. Parts are reasonably priced. Idk what your warranty cover but definitely that would be a good option if you can swing it.

- Answer You can only stack washer and dryers from the same model group.Every few years the dimensions change and are not compatible from older to newer. Unless you are VERY handy and can adapt a stack kit from a new unit,but almost impossible.

QuestionIt is normal for the washer to make a loud noise while is in the Spinning Cycle, it does not vibrate and while is spinning is the noise is not bad but I guess when is out of balance is sounds very loud and harsh. Should I get a Technician to look at it?

- Answer 16" and 7" are the height of the pedestals the washer sits on. 7" in just a base , 16" has a drawer for storage.

- Answer All dryers come natural gas you would need an LP conversion kit for propane. whoever you buy it from should be able to tell you the cost but if you have never done one before DON'T attempt it! You need to dissasemble most of the dryer to do this and sometimes special tools are needed. Pay to have it done if needed.Gas is not to be fooled with.

- Answer For a small load use the #2 line on the detergent cup cap,med to large loads go above #3.Detergent is ver concentrated now and don't worry if you don't see suds.Any size load is fine as the machine has a way to "weigh" the load to determine how much water it needs.Smart Washer.

- Answer Yes.most have what is called a button trap at the bottom front of the washer.Some have a small door to open then a twist cap attached to a tray that catches things before they get into the pump.Some are accessed by removing the front panel to the machine.
