- Answer If you need to buy a new one, scan the QR code on the inside lip of your dryer door. It will take you to the GE parts catalog for your dryer. Parts are reasonably priced. Idk what your warranty cover but definitely that would be a good option if you can swing it.

QuestionI have a GFD45ESSKWW dryer and the washer that was staked with it is now broken. I am looking for a new washer. Can this washer stack with my current dryer? Is there a new washer that can stake with this dryer if not?

- Answer You can only stack washer and dryers from the same model group.Every few years the dimensions change and are not compatible from older to newer. Unless you are VERY handy and can adapt a stack kit from a new unit,but almost impossible.

QuestionIt is normal for the washer to make a loud noise while is in the Spinning Cycle, it does not vibrate and while is spinning is the noise is not bad but I guess when is out of balance is sounds very loud and harsh. Should I get a Technician to look at it?

- Answer 16" and 7" are the height of the pedestals the washer sits on. 7" in just a base , 16" has a drawer for storage.

- Answer All dryers come natural gas you would need an LP conversion kit for propane. whoever you buy it from should be able to tell you the cost but if you have never done one before DON'T attempt it! You need to dissasemble most of the dryer to do this and sometimes special tools are needed. Pay to have it done if needed.Gas is not to be fooled with.

QuestionDoes anyone have any detergent measuring tips? This is my first he wash machine and it seems I either use too much or not enough detergent? Also, is it ok to do smaller loads with this washing machine or should I be doing full loads all the time?

- Answer For a small load use the #2 line on the detergent cup cap,med to large loads go above #3.Detergent is ver concentrated now and don't worry if you don't see suds.Any size load is fine as the machine has a way to "weigh" the load to determine how much water it needs.Smart Washer.

- Answer Yes.most have what is called a button trap at the bottom front of the washer.Some have a small door to open then a twist cap attached to a tray that catches things before they get into the pump.Some are accessed by removing the front panel to the machine.

- Answer If its the house drain pipe usually its the pressure knob on top that needs replacing. If you mean the drain pipe as part of the washer that's a GE issue. Limited warranty should cover it.

QuestionI know the ultra fresh vent system is an 8 hour cycle. How often do you recommend this be done? Sometimes I only wash 1 maybe 2 loads daily. Should this be done every 5 days or so if not washing constantly or how often?

- Answer I have had front load washers since they first came out and with 32 years of repair experience I can tell you unless you have A high sulfur level in your water just leave the door open and the dispenser drawer pulled out after each wash. You will be fine.

QuestionHow exactly does the microban gasket work? Is there a chemical coating on the material? Just curious exactly what's in it as well as if it actually works effectively over time.

- Answer Microban is an additive that is added to the gasket material. It essentially prohibits the existence/growth of common bacteria, yeast, molds, and fungi. It’s added during the manufacturing of the gasket so it’s infused with the rubber from the point of manufacture. No need to reapply anything. Seems to work very well as I have had none of those issues over the past 30 months of owning this machine.

- Answer I am not sure about the previous person's answer. The Power, Play/Pause button of mine doesn't light up either...unlike the buttons on the matching dryer, they do light up. Quite annoying.
