- Answer No, you're simply buying a washer and a dryer. Everything else is extra. That means the air duct, washer power cord, the air duct for the dryer, and the stacking brackets are extra.

QuestionIt shows compatible pedestal to be GFP1528SNWW. Not great reviews for it. Weak, plastic bottom that sags, not very secure - causing loud spin cycle, etc.. Is that the only compatible pedestal for washer GFW550SSNWW that is still tall?

QuestionThe washer will go in the garage. I must make sure the door will clear car bumper & hood. Can anyone tell me the measurement from the floor to the bottom of the door? Also from the floor to the center of the door (the widest part of the door)? Thank you.

- Answer Hi Lora, thanks for your question! When measuring with the leveling legs in the shortest position, the height from the floor to the bottom of the door is 9.75”. The door is 25" in diameter, so you can add another 12.5" to the height from the floor to bottom of door. (so 9.75" + 12.5"). We hope this helps! Stay safe. -Michael@GEA

QuestionWhat is the clearance from the bottom of the washer to the floor. I have a drain pan and the pipe adapter is a little above floor level. Thank you.

- Answer Hello Mikt800, Thank you for reaching out. We'll be happy to answer your question. When reviewing the Installation Instructions for this washer, it shows the height of the washer with the legs fully extended - 40 5/8" and when fully retracted it is 39 3/4" tall. The difference is less than an inch. With the legs fully retracted the washer is just slightly off the floor. Our GE manufacturer's warranty extends for one year from the original date of purchase and covers any part of the washer which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. QuestionWhat is the exact height of the washer and dryer when it is stacked including the Stackable Kit? The dimentions state that each unit is 39 1/2" high. Please advise my closet opening is only 80" High so I am afraid it might be too high.

- Answer It should, but will be tight depending on what kind of closet door you have (you may have to remove the door). I have a 34" wide closet that fit both units stacked, and there was enough room for the installers without removing the door.
