QuestionWhat is the diameter of the hose? I need to order a replacement for my grandmother as the one it comes with is too short but don’t have access to measure it. The first replacement we purchased was the wrong size, too small. Any help would be appreciated

- Answer Hi Mal - Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your grandmother's portable air conditioner model APWA12YZBW! These units are sold with a 5' exhaust vent hose with a 5” inch diameter. Extending the hose is not recommended as this would reduce the efficiency of the unit. This type of compressor has fewer moving parts and works more efficiently than conventional compressors. You should not expect a noisy operation. The decibels rating is 57.
