I have 31 inches of depth to work with. Would there be enough room behind to connect for venting?? null

Hi Jen - Yes, the dryer is 26 3/4" deep. 4 1/4" allows adequate space for venting. This is the exact situation that we have. Yes, it will work if you carefully line up the dryer and the vent and use just the right amount of vent hose to connect.

Beware that BestBuy installation people may not take care to do that for you! They installed our dryer yesterday and even with my asking, they cut a long hose then leave the dryer laying outside its designated area and into our hallway. These people only want to hook the dryer up to show that it works so they can grab your money, they do not care about your needs.

I ended up going to Home Depot to buy a new hose then reinstall it myself. Everything is ok for us now but we wasted a bunch of money with BestBuy service.

It would be very tight. Ideally you'd want a min of 31-1/2 to 32 inches.

This will work *IF* you have approximately 5 1/2 inches from the back wall to the back of the dryer.
