QuestionI have a GE Profile model #PEM31SM3SS mounted under cabinet. What is the replacement model for it and will I need a new hanging kit or can I use my old one?

QuestionRe: GE Profile microwave oven Model PES7227SLSS, The product sheet for this microwave on your website shows the product height is 13 1/2 inches, but the GE website shows the height to be 14 inches. Which is correct? If it's 14 inches it won't fit my space

Model PEM31SFSS calls for the same cabinet cutout as your current unit. The trim kits for this model are the 27" JX827SFSS or the 30" JX830SFSS. QuestionIs this MW the closest to the dimensions of the GE PROFILE SPACEMAKER 2 model JEM31SF01 I also need a hanging kit The area where it goes has a depth of 12-3/4" If this is not the best choice for replacement can you recommend one.

- Answer Hi Jason, Thanks for reaching out. We're happy to answer your question. This model is similar in dimensions and can fit the same cutout as the Spacemaker model. The depth required for this model is 18" MIN. receptacle in cabinet, 16" MIN. receptacle outside cabinet. The hanging kit for this model is JXA019K. We do not have any models that will fit a cutout depth of 12-3/4" We deeply apologize for this inconvenience. QuestionI need to replace a PEM31DM1BB, which is currently installed using the hanging kit. If I buy the PEM31DFBB, which seems to be the closest match, will the template for the hanging screws be the same as on my old unit? Or will I need to drill new holes?

Updated kits have the proper templates and brackets for the new model; the installation instructions stay the same. The current model is GE Profile™ 1.1 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven PEM31SFSS.
