A:AnswerThe SmartHQ app does provide you with status updates for the fresh food and freezer temperatures. It also will alert you when the temperature is too high. For more details about the benefits of the SmartHQ app, we recommend you review the support article on the GE Appliances website ttled: "Smart Refrigerators - Benefits of the SmartHQ App".
A:AnswerHi there - The way the dispenser recess light works on this model is that a proximity sensor detects when a user is approaching the refrigerator and the light comes on. If you do not like this feature you can turn it off in the Smart HQ APP under lighting preferences. The control on the front of the unit also has a light button, this will override the proximity sensor and leave the light on permanently until the user pushes it again to turn it back off (which reactivates the proximity sensor). We hope this information is helpful. Thanks for being part of the Profile family. Best wishes! -Don@GEA

A:AnswerUnfortunately Covid-19 has caused a lot of supply chain disruptions. I managed to get one of the last ones in stock here where I live. I was told that they will not have it back in stock again until December 2021 (3 months from now). Even the LG and Samsung models are out of stock with long lead times and those are made in Korea (LG and Samsung are both Korean companies and I try to buy American whenever possible). Yes, GE Appliances was recently acquired by a Chinese company, but GE appliances are still designed and manufactured here in America.
A:AnswerMine too. There are not many internet parts dealers that have listings for this fridge yet. Try going to a parts supplier like https://www.tribles.com/lookup/297717/2267858
They have parts listings and diagrams to find the parts you want to look up.

A:AnswerHello RP - We appreciate your interest in the refrigerator PVD28BYNFS and we are happy to help! You do not have to open both fresh food compartment doors to open the drawers. Thanks for checking! Olga
A:AnswerHi Nick - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE Profile Model PVD28BYNFS. We are sorry to hear the freezer is not cold enough and apologize for any inconvenience and concern this has caused. We suggest to check for frost. This would indicate that the freezer drawer is not properly sealed, or has been left open. Check to ensure that no food packages or containers are preventing the freezer drawer from closing fully. Make sure the door alarm is on.
