Hi Rocky - Thanks for your interest! The turntable must always be in place when using the oven and cannot be turned off. Keep in touch! Sue

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have done a little research and my answer is no. I checked the options menu and none is given to turn off the turn table. All instructions for use of the microwave and convect oven both say the turntable must always be in place when in use. The upper microwave/convect oven work great. The lower oven I have some issues with. There is no visible heating element on the bottom, only on the top. My oven is not heating properly (took over 30 to preheat) had "board" replaced so preheat is much quicker. My biggest problem is the oven continues to heat up to over 50 degrees hotter than set temp. Have adjust thermostat numerous times and still have issue. Need to make call to GE and spend (probably hours) waiting to talk to someone who can help me.
