There are several cooking features that will be available once you connect to your WiFi to receive the over-the-air updates. They include Convection Roast, No Preheat Air Fry, Baked Goods, Frozen Snacks and Frozen Pizza. All other features will operate without a WiFi connection.

I have had stove 18 months and they are changing out the main circuit board . That did not repair so waiting again. The app is a nice feature if you want to see if you turned off stove or on way home and want to pre heat. I use it way more than I thought I would.

Yes. But the connectivity is actually useful and nice. It integrates with GE microwaves to automatically turn the fan and lamp on when you turn the cooktop on, etc.
