“Does this unit have Styrofoam on the inside or plastic? I know some window ac units have plastic. My experience is the foam ones get mildew on the inside.”

Hello - All window air conditioners have white Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) air ducts. This foam material is similar to what is used in coolers and insulated cups. The EPS is part of the product and should not be removed. Thanks for taking the time to reach out. Have a wonderful day! -Don@GEA
