• A:Answer This is a great question! Making sure your air conditioner is drained properly is important. Over time, the air conditioner will accumulate water on both the indoor and the outdoor sides. For various reasons, such as preparing for a cold season, this water will need to be removed from the unit. Before draining the Indoor side, ensure to have the proper means of collecting water under the unit. Locate the Drain Cap on the right side of the unit. Remove the Drain Cap and pull the Filter Plug straight out to drain the unit. Once the water stops, reinsert the Filter Plug and secure again with the Drain Cap. Q: QuestionI just installed this air conditioner and within three hours there is condensation on the inside of the unit. Is this normal?

• A:Answer One thing you should know. This unit begins vibrating loudly when the drain pump kicks on to drain the tray. You'll think the unit isn't sitting correctly in the window when it does it, but it's fine. The rattling will eventually stop when it's done pumping out the condensation. I'm currently having issues with a sensor problem and it won't drain. This unit produces 2.5 gallons of water every 36 hours. I've timed it using the drain and a bucket to catch the water with gallon marks inside.

Q: QuestionHow much water is acceptable under the fan in the back of the unit? The manual says water pinging off the fan is used to boost efficiency, but there is a small puddle inside. Drain plug removed and unit tilted down to outside by 2 degrees.

• A:Answer Since the saddle unit base is below the windowsill, water collected from the evaporator (humidity removal) is pumped to outdoor side of the unit. There is an internal pump that pumps water to the outdoor side. In a case where the pump fails or cannot keep up because of extremely high humidity, the unit has a safety switch to shut down the unit. This keeps water from dripping from the unit on the indoor side.

Q: QuestionMy vinyl window sill is not flat it has a 2 inch ledge. Instructions only show flat sill installation. Will 2 inch ledge interfere with installation? Thanks

• A:Answer No, the ledge wouldn't interfere with the installation. The window a/c unit does come with foam support to install under the chaseway to help with support.

Q: QuestionI set my unit up, and it has a slight lean toward the outside of the window (the bubble on my level is halfway over the line leaning toward outside). Will this cause drainage issues?

• A:Answer As long as the installation instructions were followed there shouldn't be a draining concern. The air conditioner should be sitting level or slightly tilting to the outside.

Q: QuestionWill the chaseway expand to accommodate a window depth of 15.5 inches? (Apartment window and wall depth) I see from a previous answer that it only expands to 13.75 inches. Is there a larger model or a way to accommodate a larger wall/window depth?

Q: Questionbox damaged & stored on side.installed unit & does not get cold enough.seems like compressor does not always come on.tried to put the temp to lowest setting & fan on high but temp was still at 68.is this a sign it was damaged before i got it?

• A:Answer We do not advise to place the air conditioner on its side or upside down. This placement could cause damage to the mounting of the compressor. If on its side or back for more than a day, leave it in an upright position and unplugged for 24 hours. • A:Answer The air conditioner should be upright and level at not set on it's side. However, if you have to temporarily move the unit on the it's side then it should be okay. • A:Answer We are having the PI issue. We purchased this AC on 7/6/24 and it worked great last year with no error codes. We put it back in the window on 7/6/25 and have been running it for 3 days and have received the PI error 3 times. Had to pull the plug and drain, then it works again. I assume the warrantee is now expired. I would buy the extended warrantee,

Q: QuestionWhy would you want water to collect onto the outside unit for the fan to do whatever it is you say for efficiency purpose? Doesn't that just now start a mold problem?

• A:Answer It is normal for water to collect on the inside of your air conditioner. Both the inside and outside of the unit will need to be drained.
