Newer units pop on the cleaning light on an hours-of-use schedule. I believe it is about a month for cleaning now. I've owned three of these now all the way back to the original Opal, and the eventual failure will be due to calcium build-up if you don't clean regularly. The aggressive cleaning messages and enhanced cleaning instructions (from previous models) is definitely there to help address that #1 failure mode.

If the cleaning light doesn't go away, please send us a private message via Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok with your contact information, complete model/serial numbers, and a copy of this review.
