Hello MichaelP - Thank you for reaching out about our dishwasher technology. We are happy to help. The Dry Boost uses hotter water and an additional heating element to effectively dry the dishes. There is not special ducting for Dry Boost. Than fan assist indicates the hidden steam vent pulls in the moist air from the tub to further help dry the dishes. As the vent takes in air instead of blows out, there is no filtering needed. The vent is located on the inside of the door at the top, so debris is not a problem.
