Are you using a HDMI port or USB-C port to connect your desktop PC to the monitor? If yes, it may not support 3440 x 1440 due to a GPU or mother board limitation. Try DisplayPort if your CPU supports 3440 x 1440 @ 60Hz on DisplayPort. By the way, you may need to buy a graphic card to enjoy gaming with 3440 x 1440 @ 144Hz, HDR400 and Adaptive-Sync.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My computer supports ultra wide resolution, but I have set it to 2560x1440 for some games, to increase frame rate. When I did that, the Gigabyte monitor did not stretch the image. It just left black bars on the left and right side. So, there must be an option in the monitor menu. If I were you, I would play around with the display menu settings. As for your computer's support of ultra wide resolution, that all depends on your graphics processor's specs. Some don't have enough memory for full ultra wide. I would check the specs and see what the max resolution is. Also, you can try to update your GPU's driver's to see if any newer resolutions we're added. I hope some of this helps. Good luck.
