If temperature drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, the batteries will not charge. Once the battery drains the cameras will go offline. Support says you have to uninstall them, get them back to 32 degrees or higher, and reinstall them. Why not just advertise, NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NORTHERN CLIMATES?

Connecting your camera to a power outlet with the included or optional power adapter will keep the battery charged. Please note that the power adapter included with the Nest Cam (battery) is not weatherproof and not intended for outdoor use and you can use a compatible weatherproof cable (sold separately). Also, Nest Cam (battery) has an IP54 rating, and is designed to work within its operating temperature range of -4° F to 104° F (-20° C to 40° C). It's water resistant and can withstand dust, rain, and snow.

Yes you need to purchase their charging cable and have it plugged in to have it hardwired
